American Honey follows Star (Sasha Lane), a teenager from a troubled background, who joins a traveling sales crew of young adults selling magazine subscriptions across the American Midwest. As they journey through various states, the group engages in hard-partying and law-bending antics, offering Star a sense of freedom and belonging. Along the way, she becomes drawn to Jake (Shia LaBeouf), one of the group’s leaders, leading to complex dynamics within the crew.

Directed by Andrea Arnold, the film received critical acclaim for its raw portrayal of youth and Americana.
