In Jojo Rabbit, a satirical take on World War II, ten-year-old Johannes “Jojo” Betzler is an enthusiastic member of the Hitler Youth in Nazi Germany. His world is turned upside down when he discovers that his mother, Rosie, is hiding a Jewish girl named Elsa in their home. Conflicted between his indoctrinated beliefs and the humanity he witnesses, Jojo seeks guidance from his imaginary friend—a fanciful version of Adolf Hitler. As Jojo grapples with his blind nationalism, he learns profound lessons about love, courage, and the absurdity of hatred.

The film won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and was nominated for Best Picture at the 92nd Academy Awards.
